Practicing primarily in Social Security Law

Our Pledge:

We welcome the opportunity to serve your legal needs. We pledge to do our utmost to accomplish your legal objectives.

Office Hours:

Mr. Berg’s office hours are by appointment only from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. during weekdays.  We encourage you to call for a convenient appointment time.  Walk-ins are discouraged, but we will attempt to accommodate you if we have staff available.

Notice About Initial No-Charge Interview

Our TV advertising indicates there is no charge for an initial consultation.  Many potential clients then call us for an appointment.

Our office practice is, however, to first obtain a signed written consent from you allowing us to review your Social Security disability claim file.  It is helpful for us to understand the nature of your claim before meeting with you.  A copy of the claim file also allows both of us to know what material is being used to make a determination in your case.

After reviewing the file, we will write you a letter asking that you call our office to schedule a time when you can come in for a conference.   During the conference, we will then discuss the merits of your case with you.

NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC: The determination of the need for legal services and the choice of a lawyer are extremely important decisions and should not be based solely upon advertisements or self-proclaimed expertise. This disclosure is required by rule of the Supreme Court of Iowa.

Memberships and offices in legal fraternities and legal societies, technical and professional licenses, and memberships in scientific, technical and professional associations and societies of law or field of practice does not mean that a lawyer is a specialist or expert in a field of law, nor does it mean that such lawyer is necessarily any more expert or competent than any other lawyer. All potential clients are urged to make their own independent investigation and evaluation of any lawyer being considered. This notice is required by rule of the Supreme Court of Iowa.
